Important Town Information for Town of Wilson Residents
RECYCLING
The recycling center is open every Saturday from 8a.m. until noon only (rules will be enforced) at the town hall. Tires may be recycled for the following fees to be paid at time of drop off. Passenger and light truck tires up to 17inches without rims $3, with rims $5. Tires that are 19.5 inches and larger $9 and Agricultural rears $30.
Please Note NO large items such as, Mattresses, Carpets, construction debris, appliances,
etc. can be accepted. Check the Eau Claire County website and/or Beaver Creek Recycler for
places and dates to recycle these items.
DOG LICENSING
ALL DOGS IN THE TOWN OF WILSON MUST BE LICENSED
To do so you will need:
- A current copy of the dog’s vaccination record showing: name and breed.
- If you are mailing with Tax payment, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope, for return of your tag. If you are paying in person, check or money order appreciated, you will receive your tag at that time.
- VERY IMPORTANT - Dog license fees are separate from tax payments please make this a separate check payable to Town of Wilson.
- If you would like the treasurer to attach a phone number or contact information, please provide it when you are registering your dog(s). This contact information will not be shared, the information will only be used to contact you in case of lost/found dog.

Ordinance #8-2000-Town of Wilson An Ordinance establishing dog license fees.
No person shall own or keep a dog over the age of 6 months within the limits of the Town of Wilson without first obtaining a license from the town treasurer or other authorized agent of the Town. The license fee shall be $8 for each spayed or neutered dog. $19 for each unspayed or unneutered dog, and the fee for a kennel license shall be $36 for up to 12 dogs plus $3 for each additional dog over 12.
A late fee of $5 in accordance with the Wisconsin Statutes shall be applied per dog on or after April 1st of each year. Exemptions to the license fee shall be granted in accordance with Wisconsin statutes 174.053. A fine of $150 plus court costs will be issued if you do not license your dog(s).
TOWN HALL RESERVATIONS AND PARK SHELTER USAGE
The town hall may be rented for a fee of $30 per day. A deposit of $100 to reserve the hall is returned after the event if no damage is done. Contact Danielle Barka at 715.667.3003 to reserve.
The shelter at the park is a first come first served basis, therefore NO fee is required for use, but donations are accepted for upkeep.
FIRE NUMBERS AND FIRE INSURANCE
The Town Board encourages everyone to check their homeowner’s insurance policy for the dollar amount that will be paid if you have a fire call of any type. The property owner is responsible for all charges above what is covered by your homeowner’s insurance. Also please keep your fire number easily visible by keeping foliage down near the sign.
